Un si ni pò chiù - No More to Give
Un si ni pò chiù - No More to Give is my deeply personal dialogue with de Chirico’s metaphysical landscapes, where I reinterpret Latina’s stark, monumental spaces through the lens of memory, displacement, and transformation. This series captures the silent tension between the rigid geometry of oppressive architecture and the fleeting traces of a past life—Sicilian oranges, glimpses of the sea, the delicate scent of zagara. These fragments of home appear like ghosts, reminders of belonging, longing, and the search for myself in a place that feels both real and surreal.

With everything that has happened, I have found myself stepping into surrealism. I lost my footing—everything I built collapsed in an instant. All I have left is my love for Sicily, my art, and the strength to continue. This series has become more than a collection of paintings; it is a deeply personal story of loss, survival, and the attempt to reclaim my sense of self.
Not Mr Darcy
Inspired by de Chirico's surrealist style, this painting draws its inspiration from his Love Song, where the cold, surreal spaces evoke a profound sense of isolation, and the contrasting elements heighten the tension between reality and longing. In my own piece, Latina's stark, oppressive architecture forms the backdrop, embodying the emotional void and the collapse of a once-cherished ideal.

‘Olive Twilight Symphony’ captures the enchanting moment when the vibrant sun begins to set, yet its bright rays still kiss the lush olive grove with golden light. The painting vividly portrays the interplay of light and shadow as the day transitions into twilight, with deep blues mingling with the vivid greens of the young olives. Each brushstroke celebrates the serene yet radiant atmosphere of a Mediterranean evening, inviting the viewer to bask in the fleeting warmth of the sunlit olives before night falls.

Step into the radiant warmth of 'Sicilian Citrus Harmony,' a painting that's truly close to my heart. This 80x40 cm vertical canvas celebrates Sicilian simplicity and the breathtaking beauty of nature. The branch, adorned with luscious lemons, is a sunlit symphony that captures the essence of Sicily.

My personal technique, blending glazing and impasto, breathes life into the play of light and texture. The inspiration behind this piece takes me back to a charming bed and breakfast, where a kind grandmother plucked fresh lemons for morning tea—an intimate connection with nature and simplicity.

Moving to Sicily deepened my affection for this closeness to nature. The memory of that first month, the excitement of getting my first lemon tree, and the ongoing journey with the potted lemon tree that travels with me, bearing fruit each year, all come alive in this sunny impressionist masterpiece.

Every stroke is a story, echoing my love for the lemon tree—a symbol of naturalness, simplicity, and a harmonious connection to Sicily. 'Sicilian Citrus Harmony' invites you to relive those precious moments, basking in the glow of Sicilian sunshine and the timeless charm of a lemon tree's embrace.

The Forgotten Majesty
"The Forgotten Majesty" is a celebration of Sicily’s timeless beauty, a heartfelt ode to its forgotten architectural treasures and the unrestrained power of its natural splendor. This series seeks to draw attention to the hidden gems of Sicily: fountains, gardens, and ruins once vibrant with life and culture, now slowly being reclaimed by nature.

Through each painting, I explore the dialogue between the past and present, where the remnants of grandeur blend with Sicily’s untamed greenery and vibrant blooms. These works serve as a call to action—to recognize and cherish this unique cultural heritage before it fades entirely into memory.

While fountains serve as the focal point, the series reflects the broader theme of Sicily itself as a forgotten masterpiece—a paradise whose unparalleled beauty and history deserve preservation and revival.

Eternity unfolds here—grand, graceful, and elegant. It lingers in the wisteria that blossoms anew each spring, in the slow, noble cracks spreading across the courtyard walls, and in the soft, eternal murmur of the fountain. In this quiet garden, time does not race forward; it rests, gathering history, memory, and beauty into a single breath.

Nel Giardino del Tempo (In the Garden of Time) is part of The Forgotten Majesty, a series devoted to Sicily’s overlooked fountains, gardens, and architectural relics—fragments of past splendour quietly embraced by nature. Though this view exists, it first arrived as a dream, an image long carried in my mind before reality caught up.

Rooted in my research into the harmonisation of historical narratives and inspired by Heidegger’s and Walter Benjamin’s ideas of hidden meaning and aura, this work reflects the convergence of epochs and identities, where Sicilian daily life becomes a living echo of the eternal.

This painting marks a deeply personal moment of renewal and hope, both in nature and in life. A forgotten Sicilian fountain, embraced by the cascading beauty of wisteria in full bloom, becomes a powerful symbol of revival. For me, wisteria holds a special significance—it is a flower that first captivated me upon my arrival in Sicily. Its ethereal beauty, its ability to thrive and flourish, and its connection to spring have always filled me with awe and joy. It is a flower of hope, reminding us that even after the most challenging of winters, new growth is always possible.

"Renewal in Bloom" is not just about the transformation of the fountain but about my own artistic journey. After a year-long hiatus, I returned to oil painting with this piece, inspired by the wisteria's perfect balance of fragility and strength. This painting celebrates Sicily's timeless beauty—a place where history, nature, and art intertwine—and serves as a personal testament to the power of starting anew.

Aromas of Sicilian streets

"Aromas of Sicilian Streets" is a captivating collection of digital paintings that celebrate the serene beauty and timeless charm of this small Sicilian city nestled by the sea. Each artwork in this collection offers a glimpse into the daily life and architectural splendour of Termini Imerese, with its sun-drenched streets, vibrant flora, and historic buildings.

On the streets, the aroma of freshly washed linen alternates with the inviting scent of homemade Sicilian food. The air in the city is permeated with a refreshing sea breeze, and on some streets, you can even hear the gentle sound of the sea. This sensory experience is vividly brought to life in the artist's work.

Inspired by the artist's deep love for Sicily and its vibrant colours, this collection reflects her passion for capturing the essence of her adopted homeland. Having spent her early years in the Arctic Circle, where the polar night and day dominate the landscape, the artist's appreciation for Sicily's bright skies, warm sunlight, and lush vegetation is profoundly personal and vividly expressed in her work.

Through "Aromas and Tranquility of Termini Imerese," viewers are invited to experience the unique charm and peacefulness of this picturesque town, where history and modernity blend seamlessly, and where every street corner tells a story of its own.

Seascapes of Sicily. Azure Echoes

Dive into the mesmerizing beauty of Sicilian seascapes with my collection of evocative artworks. Each brushstroke captures the essence of the island's coastal wonders, inviting you to experience the rhythmic dance of the Mediterranean against Sicily's rugged shores. In these seascapes, I aim to do more than depict the sea; I strive to convey the ever-changing moods and nuances of Sicily's coastal landscapes. From the tranquil bays kissed by the morning sun to the dramatic cliffs standing sentinel against the azure horizon, each painting is a visual journey along Sicily's diverse and enchanting shoreline. As the waves weave tales of ancient seafaring and the salty breeze carries the whispers of history, my seascapes transport you to the heart of Sicily's maritime magic. Whether capturing the vibrant hues of a sunset over the Tyrrhenian Sea or the quiet serenity of a hidden cove, these artworks invite you to immerse yourself in the timeless allure of Sicilian seascapes.

Collection Cactusing around
In Sicily, cacti are everywhere—standing tall along roadsides, leaning against historic walls, and basking in the Mediterranean sun. In this collection, I shift the perspective, capturing the Sicilian landscape through the presence of these resilient plants.

Each painting in Cactusing Around blends nature with culture, featuring cacti as silent observers of iconic locations and hidden corners of Sicily. From the warm terracotta rooftops of medieval towns to the striking blues of the sea and sky, these works celebrate the island’s unique beauty through vibrant colors and rich textures.

Sicily’s cacti are more than just plants; they are symbols of endurance, history, and adaptation—just like the island itself. Through this series, I invite you to experience Sicily’s essence from an unexpected yet deeply Sicilian point of view.

Political collection: Sicilian flowers speak
Let my paintings from the political flower collection "Sicilian Flowers speak" tell for me what my soul is screaming about.
What happened?
My new painting from the political collection "Sicilian Flowers Speak" is called "What Happened". This is a homage to Van Gogh's sunflowers.
Mobilization has begun in Russia, the economic consequences of sanctions are felt more and more strongly, and finally, the Z-patriots have woken up. But not to the end. They ask "what happened"? And why did all those who called for the bombing of Ukrainian cities and talked about how the Russians would defeat everyone not volunteer but hide? Women who said that the Ukrainians themselves deserved all this by electing their president are now wondering: why is my husband/brother/father now obliged to go to die in the war? I am ashamed that, when they learn about the death of their relatives, they curse Ukraine, not the ones who started this war.
And the war is going on, and millions of peaceful people are left without heating and electricity right now without an elementary opportunity to warm and feed their little babies. Don't let this important news drown in the informational noise.

Floral Sicilian sketches from life
Fresh and colourful collection from best sicilian gardens
Oil on canvas board. 24x18
It's one of the floral paintings on canvas with the purple hyacinth created on plein air. When I was looking for still life ideas I was highly inspired by old masters still life oil painting. But I wanted to add some contemporary updates, I didn't want to create another garden painting.

So in places, the untouched rough linen canvas emphasises the delicacy of the flower painting
Hope you will like my new experimental still life oil painting.
